MY URGENT LETTER TO YOU . . . Bishop Henry L. Porter

I hope that you are alright and advancing to your benefit. My prayers are for you. Please continue to pray for me. Every day, I am discovering the benefits of agreement in prayer. WE can see far more happen in the area of healing, miracles, signs and wonders, if we will CHOOSE TO BELIEVE, and to work with each other. Each morning, when I wake up, I praise God and I thank Him for keeping me.  I ask God to forgive me from all my sins, known and unknown to me.  Lev 4:1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them: 3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the Lord for a sin offering.
I know it is right for me to write you — to communicate and to connect with you. Reading and receiving is left to you. God knows that I will not hold back to showing you the things that God in His gracious mercy has shown to me. Why throw away the things that made you successful?  Over the years, God has blessed thousands upon thousands through my letters, newsletter, radio, television, magazines and personal crusades. I will NEVER give up and ACT LIKE (pretend) God is not real. This is the last month of 2017. I am compelled by the Spirit of God to make known and to put you in remembrance of these things. Remember James 4:13-17:  Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.  17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
You are standing at a point of healing and miracles! I had this vision on Dec. 24th. Water in the shape of a tongue entered my mouth. It was not in a container, but held it’s shape. Upon swallowing the water, HEALING went to every part of my body. I felt renewed, refreshed, healed, delivered. I believe this for YOU. God answers prayer. Let nothing separate you from your prayer partners. Keep in touch. Invest. Speak of God’s goodness. Sing the songs. Spread the Joy.
April 9, 2016, Arman was born to Mohinder Singh (79 years), and  Daljinder (72 years), an Indian couple that has been married for 47 years but never had children. “We cannot thank God and our doctor enough for blessing us with a baby boy. We plan to give him the best of everything when he grows up.”  Mom said, “Money does not matter to me. I wanted a child at any cost, and today I am a mother. She delivered her baby naturally and breast feeds him. Persistence pays off.
I don’t know what you are working on, until it manifests. BUT, WE CAN CHANGE BOTH THE INPUT AND THE OUTCOMES. How? By FIRST saying, “Go to, let us”. Agree! Pray! ACT! Be sensitive. Be careful. Some people and things are broken because we broke them. They didn’t break themselves. Hard to believe? IT’S NOT HARD to isolate people, or to do some act that alienates you from another. YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE AN EVIL INTENT or MALICE!!! You can sin through “ignorance”. Your adversary, the devil, has many wiles that he will use against you. He will try “to slip something in” that you never considered. It can be as simple as (1) counting the people to see who’s with you, or (2) eating a fruit that looks good on a tree God told you not to eat from or (3)  making you feel that it won’t hurt  to take an extra day to cross Jordan River” because you had concerns about the safety of your children and grandchildren.
The devil will (4) catch you when you are “good and hungry”, then, suggest that you “turn rocks into bread” FOR YOURSELF.  Satan will put up SIGNS so you can “assume” it is OK to “go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”. In ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, and God will direct your paths.
Ps 37:23-27 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. 25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. 27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
God demonstrated the lasting power of His word, to MOSES, was still there with JESUS, the WORD made flesh. Our Lord Jesus quoted Moses. Even when the people told Jesus that Moses allowed them to divorce, Jesus said, Matt 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. ALWAYS KEEP the RECORD STRAIGHT. (If you think it doesn’t apply to you, share the truth with others.) Some of the results you are experiecing came from THE HARDNESS OF YOUR HEART, not someone else. Some people came to you and tried to tell you in the beginning; but, being headstrong and resistant, you would not consider the wisdom they expressed out of concern. It is still the truth, Mark 6:4-5 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. (RESULT) 5 And He could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. Matt 13:57-58 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
Some STEPPED AWAY, and never found time to STEP BACK into success.
I love you. When I returned home from my first semester in college, my mother reminded me that I owed by first visit to my grandmother, granddaddy and aunts, BEFORE I went to hook up with friends my age. It was understood at Booker High School (then, the only school for Blacks in Sarasota), that alumni return to greet the students and encourage them to complete their high school education and to go to college. Without fail, you always return and attend church the Sunday after you return to the city! This was our support system. Always keep the support system in tact. Dad was central to my intelligence. Mostly in silence, his eyes guided me.
When God sent me to do a work, a number of people helped me. I had open ears. Listen to me and hear me out. I wish I had time and space to talk about Uncle Virgil, Dr. Anderson, Jerry Strickland, Dr. Idella Moss, Lona B. Mathis, Bishop Dr. George Dallas McKinney, Rev. Johnny B. Reese, and how they helped me. But, I will write a little about Mr. Charles “Tick” Wilson.
The reason I chose Mr. Wilson is because our televison department at Westcoast showed a remarkable video of him on Christmas Eve. A great Christmas present to me! The documentary showed that we recognized Mr. Charles “Tick” Wilson, “Pop Wilson”, for 50 years of dedicated service in radio broadcasting. The situation that brought up my “AWARENESS” to recognize Mr. Wilson was not pleasant to me. My Tsadok and Zacchur were small kids and I took them to the Sarasota County Fair. At the fair, I lost my money. Then, when I saw “Pop Wilson and His wife”, he called me over to the side and said, “Henry, can I talk with you for a moment?” Sure! He asked me in a very low, slow voice, “HENRY, WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO?” That kicked the wind out of me. Startled, I said, “Mr. Wilson, I don’t hate you.” He asked, “How many albums do you have out?” I answered about 5 or so.” He responded, “I don’t have one. You never came and gave me one.” I felt horrible. I could not make any excuses that one of my employees should have taken care of that. Mr. Wilson was my mother’s friend, my daddy’s friend, and my friend. My neglect was awful.
He continued, “When you started your group, I put you on radio every time you came down to the station. I promoted your concerts.” My God, I felt bad! How could I —the “thoughtful” Henry Porter — be so negligent, forgetful and insensitive to a man upon whose lap I sat and slept? I could not answer him that I WAS BUSY, or that I WAS TRAVELING or that I WAS RAISING MY CHILDREN. My mother and Dad were both gone. I was on television. I had a thriving radio broadcast, and very successful meetings throughout the United States and around the world. I had sinned. I forgot from whence I had come. The aged Mr. Wilson pulled my coattail at the county fair when, by incidence, I ran into him. I believe IT WAS GOD’S DOING.
Immediately, after I returned home from the county fair, I brought over everything I had. I planned a major program to celebrate him. I purchased a trophy that was at least 3-feet tall, and I blessed him. Everybody that I had the power to contact, I contacted them. I pulled out all the STOPS. I summoned the television department, cameramen and directors, choirs and officers, elders and everything I had power to call, and we CELEBRATED MR. CHARLES “PoP”, “Tick” Wilson.  In that special service, WE came together to do the songs he liked, the things he treasured. And, when HE WAS ALRIGHT, I WAS ALRIGHT — not until then.
Christmas Eve 2017, I learned something. Yes, I know I heard it the night that we celebrated Mr. Wilson; but, now he and his wife are gone. His words told me more. On the video, he said that he had just been in the hospital the night before, suffering complications from diabetes and that he shouldn’t have on shoes at that time. But, Joyce Bellamy called him and said, “You don’t want to miss this. Come on out!” He put on his shoes and came because HENRY LOVED HIM SO!
God knows what He is doing. Don’t exclude yourself from GIVING because you feel you have done enough, or you met your commitment, or that you’re saving to give at another time. This is the hour of salvation. AND ALL STORIES THAT HAVE BEEN TOLD, ARE NOT WITHIN THE STORIES YOU KNOW. Just consider that there are many things you do not know. God established Jubilee. Follow through and give your $1,000 to the Henry L. Porter Evangelistic Association. I am so happy that MR. WILSON pulled me over to the side AT THE SARASOTA COUNTY FAIR. I will never forget that day, when GOD PULLED ME OVER TO THINK AND REASON WITH ME so that I may CONSIDER MY WAYS.
You may be feeling the best about yourself; but, you may be missing the best for yourself. The review tape of Cassietta George and Mr. Wilson quickened my memory. God blessed me! Oh, the things that we let “slip” because we have a great skill in making excuses and doing THE LEAST WE CAN DO. I had the power to MAKE MR. WILSON HAPPY without any “gain” for myself!
WE HAVE THIS TREASURE IN OUR EARTHEN VESSELS. Thank you, Westcoast Television Department for following through on the leading of the Holy Ghost. Thank You, my son, Henry Porter, for being led of the Spirt to “PULL THE TAPES”, as God commanded us for our own welfare and blessing. BY FOLLOWING ALL THE WORDS GOD SPOKE TO US, WE MAKE OUR WAY PROSPEROUS and HAVE GOOD SUCCESS.
This is my last written correspondence of the year. I would like to have an immediate response from you in giving to help this ministry. I want to close out all bills and things due to others. You can help me to do that. I need you to STOP AND DO SOMETHING NOW. Drop everything that you’re doing, and GIVE YOUR LOVE SOME TIME!
We cannot continue to take an not give. We cannot be so caught up in our own world that we feel “offended” when corrected, or when asked to do something WE DIDN’T THINK OF or SET INTO ACTION OURSELVES. YOU CAN HELP. You know what was important to your making. Don’t be ignorant to the thing that could cause your breaking!
All of us should have learned from Jesus and His conversation with His disciples. They had not had time for leisure. Jesus told them to come into a desert place. When they went there, a crowd GATHERED. Jesus is moved by compassion and ministers to the people. The worn-out disciples tell Him that it’s getting late. SEND THE PEOPLE AWAY so they can grab a bite to eat. Jesus tells HIS DISCIPLES to feed the people. After feeding 5,000 men with 2 fish and 5 loaves, Jesus commands His disciples to go to the other side of the lake. Then, Jesus walks on water to them. Peter also walks the water to come to Jesus. When they are on the boat and wondering, we find THEY DID NOT CONSIDER THE MIRACLE OF THE LOAVES. That was only a few hours after the miracle happened. What about us who have years of miracles stacked in forgetfulness?
You cannot wait until you understand all aspects or feel entirely comfortable with taking a leap of faith. Use the knowledge you have to help others and you will reap the greater benefits. Step out on faith today. TAKE A CHANCE. LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP. MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN. Put your faith on the line! BREAK OUT OF WHERE YOU ARE!
I’ve not stopped turning things around and working miracles in Jesus name. Some people doubted and sank. Some stopped believing and we could not work great miracles there. But to those who BELIEVE, the works of God are overtaking them.
