Have You Sought the Will of God?

My Fellow-servant in the LORD,

When I was a child, my mother called me. I answered her from that distance because I was doing something in the other room of the house. My mother called another time. “Come here, Henry Lee!”

Our home had 6 small rooms, including the bathroom and the kitchen. I was a short distance from her. When I came into her room she said, “Henry Lee, whenever I call you, come to me. You don’t know if I was using my last breath to call your name. Come when I call.”

Many of us perceive ourselves as WILLING and READY to help. The FACT is, however, we come WHEN WE ARE NOT DOING SOMETHING ELSE. I need your help when I need your help, not when you decide to help. You are READY when you GET READY. And, you go WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT, and you’re not scheduled somewhere else.

WE ARE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE! God wanted you to cross the Jordan YESTERDAY.

#2. I went to the Anderson Ford Company where Dad worked because The Association needed a van. There were two van Dad picked for me to choose from. Both were in great condition. The “white van” was a few hundred dollars cheaper; but it had a dent. The blue van was beautiful. The interior had curtains that covered the windows, and nice seats.Dad suggested that I purchase the white van. But, he gave me A WAY OUT. “I know you don’t like the dent, but it runs good, and is a good deal. But, it’s hard to pay for something you don’t like.

I purchased the van I felt good about, and within a few months, the passengers had ripped off the curtains, and the van’s value had gone down.

#3 IF YOU ARE SITTING THERE DYING, it is NOT because someone is doing something TO YOU. It is because YOU ARE NOT DOING SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF. 

WORRYING never SOLVED anything.

#4  Have You Sought the Will of God?

Your story is true. Find out what that means.

The Man of God, Moses, had instructions from God —  not because he was BOLD. He was humble. Moses didn’t want to go to Egypt because he understood: people expect the unusual and phenomenal. If you come in God’s name, prove out.

Paraphrased, “Who shall I tell them sent me? What is His name? They will expect me to demonstrate His powers, the POWERS OF GOD. I can’t fake that!” God responds, “No need to fake it. I AM”

Let’s both act like we don’t know so we can get help. Peter said, I WILL NOT deny you! The man who wanted his son healed said, HELP MY UNBELIEF.

I know I am not “helpless”; He is my help. I will refer the matter entirely into His hands.

Example: If you asked me a question in mathematics, and I had access to my teachers, I would call upon my Yale Professors: Nathan B. Jacobson for Algebra (Ring theory), and Shizuo Kakutani for Analysis, and I call upon  William S. Massey for Topology. I would call upon my FAMU Professors and colleagues:  Dr. O. Anderson and Mrs. LB Clark. All of them are more skillful than I. I respect them.

In our associations with other ministers, many feel that their connection with God and their callings make them superior to their predecessors.  They see where David wrote, “Ps 119:100, I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.”. You know David wasn’t talking about knowing more than Samuel.

God’s reference to Samuel included, Jer 15:1Then said the Lord unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

Ezek 14:20 Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

There is a “communications breakdown”. You say, you want God’s help but resist the people God sent to help. You want to prove yourself out. NO! God sent Aaron to help. Ex 4:15, And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. 16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.

If you really knew what you mean to God, you would write about and soak up all that He has given to you and fly off to unknown parts of the world to make known the great things HE had done for you FOR YOU TO SHARE with millions. You are to write your name on the world with the works God has entrusted into your hands. You must see to it that the products of your gifts and uniqueness are heralded at home and abroad, until they sing as you sing, do as you do, think as you think, live as you live, be as you are, and give as you give. It IS about summoning your powers for the better good of all mankind. Think that your song should be sung worldwide. Think that your book must be the best-seller on the list? WORK THESE DILIGENTLY.

The words spoken to you by God are holy, and provide light and insight to all who would embrace your thoughts by faith? YES! YES! YES! That’s the answer of YOU. YOU ARE THE ANSWER. That is the thought that God gave Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David and of course, Jesus! GOD HIMSELF SAID, YOU ARE MY WITNESS. YOU ARE! YOU ARE!

Your blindness, trials, tribulations, . . . escapes that were by the “skin of your teeth” have built a reservoir of living waters, a hope-chest of teachings, a treasure of testimonies that bless and liberate those who hear you. (Matt 10:40) If you believe you are the Temple of God’s Spirit, you must accept the fact that THE WORD OF THE LORD IS WITHIN YOU. Accept responsibility to help with power.

Babies born in 1979 are at least 36 years old. God gave us the song, WORD OF THE LORD in 1979.  We’ve had 36 years to GO PROCLAIM THIS TRUTH TO NATIONS, AND TO SPEAK WITH BOLDNESS EVERY WORD. ENTRUSTED TO YOU ARE THE LIVES OF MILLIONS. SPEAK NOW SPEAK MY HOLY WORD.

Esther and Mordecai felt that they could change the unchangeable decree that was sealed with the king’s ring. GOD IS GOD; WE ARE HIS PEOPLE. You need to get in there and stop doing the average. Rise and walk, don’t rest fruitlessly in “word”.

It is like, we don’t believe. We hear the man of God. We say, we honor him, but we do not do what he says. It’s like, “I have other things to do” or “I’ll get around to it when I have the time.” WHAT IS THAT ABOUT? Answer: NOTHING! Where is your faith?

You must process what went on — what’s going on. Make sure you understand this mission of Abraham. Do not let the noises distract us. In the multitude of counsel there is safety. Don’t assume you KNOW.

God commanded Moses to command the people to borrow from the Egyptians. There will be a need for and a satisfaction from the things God has commanded you to do. You will not go out empty  — UNLESS YOU DON’T OBEY AND BORROW.

God gave me a word, just as He gave me the word and principle for Jubilee that paid off our first edifice. God will take simple things and confound the wise.

Don’t questioning everything, and do nothing. You will lose WITH YOUR EYES WIDE OPEN.

Divine and doable.

Where are you lacking? Obey. Talk about it. What you don’t not preach the people won’t have faith to believe. If you remain silent, so will your progress.

Mind your own business means to apply yourself to your business, to pay attention to it.

Ex 3:21  And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty: 22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
